BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The Mats Academy Summer Camp is a fun, engaging 3-week program for kids ages 8–13. Campers enjoy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, yoga, and chess while building confidence, focus, and teamwork. Our experienced instructors create a safe, supportive environment where beginners and experienced students can grow their skills. Each day combines physical activity with mental challenges to keep kids active, learning, and having fun. Spaces are limited—so call or email us today for more info!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Martial Arts, and more. Campers At The Mats Academy Participate In A Variety Of Instructional Activities Designed To Challenge The Mind & Body. They Learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Techniques & Self-defense Skills Suitable For All Levels, Practice Yoga To Improve Flexibility, Balance, & Focus, & Play Chess To Develop Strategy & Critical Thinking. In Addition, Kids Engage In Team-building Games & Fun Physical Conditioning Exercises That Promote Confidence, Cooperation, & Overall Fitness.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located behind Flower of Life Chiropractic in North Richland Hills, TX, at The Mats Academy—a modern, fully equipped training facility with spacious areas for BJJ, yoga, and other activities. CAMP FACILITIES: Our camp features a modern, clean, and fully equipped martial arts facility with spacious training mats for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, dedicated areas for yoga and chess, and a safe, welcoming environment for all activities. Campers also enjoy open spaces for games, physical conditioning, and team-building exercises.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): While The Mats Academy primarily focuses on youth camps for ages 8–13, we occasionally offer family-friendly sessions where parents and children can train together. These special sessions include introductory Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, yoga, and fun interactive games that encourage teamwork, communication, and shared learning. Families experience a supportive environment that promotes fitness, confidence, and connection both on and off the mats.

Sessions: Three week-long summer sessions available starting June 22-25, July 6-9 and July 20-23

Level: All experience levels welcome — beginners and experienced students
We are offering tiered pricing for our summer camp to make it easy to plan ahead.
Register early to lock in the best rate: Early Bird is $160 through May 19, Regular registration is $170 from May 20 to June 5, and Late registration is $197 from June 5 to July 8.
